This Action Pak features three AC2 MHI models, a Dwarf and a Makofury and weapons swaps for them. MHI is short for Mechanized Heavy Infantry -a power armor hybrid - infantry point defense specialist.
The MHI was developed as a 40th birthday gift for senior play tester David Oberting who always wanted a single pilot heavy infantry defender power armor unit. These units have a lot of fun in game abilities and are ideal for players looking for a challenging game play experience. MHI units are role built as point defenders for infantry squads, and this ACTION PAK gives you all three types and all the weapons they can load!
TechCommander is a sci-fi action deathmatch and skirmish style miniatures game. It is fast paced, with high unit lethality and destructible environments. It features mecha (or mech) fighting machines called “Mechanized Strike Vehicles” - or “MSV” for short. In TechCommander, our 10MM scale MSV models are customizable, featuring fast-swap weapons. In most cases If it fits in the free weight and power box of the unit, and on the model’s peg system you can play it. After the player picks weapons they can fill out the remaining free weight and power with awesome gear, both defensive, and offensive. MSV units are the kings of the battlefield and can act twice per turn!
Special Team 32 is a USSC joint operational team specializing in developing tactics for the MHI unit. The team operates all three common variants and has testing data and programs for all viable weapons the MHI can load under all manner of environmental and tactical challenges. While most of the testing mission is publicly known, this unit is often deployed to obscure parts of space on “logistical studies missions.” Analysts believe these to be special-operations in nature although the USSC and all member forces have officially denied it.
Brawler DESIGNED BY: Rebel Projects ORIGINATES FROM: Mars
Interesting facts:This heavily up armed MHI has twice the rocket firepower of other variants. The design was originally a pet project of the mecha tuner community, who wanted to see if they could make the system fit by stripping and replacing metal frames with carbon fiber based advanced lightweight replacements produced by 3D printing. The release Brawler is the 34th variant of the original design with all prior variants having had testable structure problems or rapid unscheduled disassembly.
Violator DESIGNED BY: Japan Space Defense Force Team 7-Bravo ORIGINATES FROM: Japan
INTERESTING FACTS:Designed as a high-tech variant of the MHI concept for Japanese Security forces, The Syndicate has reverse engineered the design completely and makes clone versions. Allegedly Syndicate operatives stole units in covert raids on Japanese security partner nations. The Violator design was also part of a joint security pack seen by many as evidence of Japan’s upcoming entry into the USSC.
Despite the revision heavy shaky start the Brawler has become a reliable high firepower MHI used by many forces.
Wingman DESIGNED BY: Elite Combat Systems Group in partnership with Combat Dynamics ORIGINATES FROM: United States
Interesting facts: The Wingman was a joint project between the creators of the ECBS suit, and the MSV standard to make a sub MSV sized mecha defender with the goal of providing point defense while mounting a MSV class sword and rockets and a single modular light MSV weapon, The MHI incorporates some infantry features like rally group software, as well as featuring an enhanced bubble shield that can be powered up by other units within it’s immediate defensive radius. Several other MHI variants are out there but the original wingman MHI still has a strong user base with defense forces almost everywhere.
