Are you looking for a cool space frontier base or settlement to add some interest to your sci-fi game board? We present our Sci-fi Space First Settlement Dome Base - Facility 1776. This is set is new to 10MM scale for TechCommander and other 10MM games, as well as 6MM scale for older legacy sci fi games you might need terrain for.
Our digital sculptor SeaDogBrian originally created a range of 28MM domes as a club freelance project for Doug Houseman and his family’s SGG game club of southeast Michigan. We have had a number of folks interested in seeing these domes as a smaller scale item, Brian decided rather then try and exactly reproduce the high parts count pieces of the original 28mm scale, to make a reimagined version with unified and shelled out pieces more suited to small scale, and sell it as a set! This is our first set using this new design. If you were looking for these original domes in 28MM they are available by special order, and future releases may be announced!
Space really is the final frontier, and so vast that the erstwhile explorers can, if they are willing to struggle and toil to claim a new place set up a settlement without the complications of displacing others as plagued earth in centuries past. For TechCommander game Brian decided to depict the plucky small settlement and research base of Facility 1776. It’s designed to be easily constructed on the frontier by using modular components, and polar 3D building printers. Such a facility represents the aspirations and hard work of the frontier. The modules are workable as stand alone pieces, but also as interconnected ones, and the set comes with 9 short connectors so you can build out the arms a bit more or even vary the length if you’d like. The modules include a observation tower dome, a Sleeper habitat dome, a Facilities and Engineering dome, and a Power generator dome. Last but not least it includes 3 fusion powered AI supercomputer hyper cores. While in universe these make sure the facility has a lot of compute for all the science that needs done, in game they make nice points of cover and places for vehicles and small squads to operate around.
This model is all 3D printed in FDM filament printing, with a goal of being light and sturdy. It comes unassembled and unpainted.
Please note the small tanks pictured are there to provide a sense of scale and play possibilities, they are not included, but are available separately. Pictured tanks are the AC2 Dreadskate, Thunderray and Stingray.
